Founded in 1964 by Jean Pouilloux , a professor at the University of Lyon, the French archaeological mission is now run by Sabine Fourrier . His work focuses on the history of the eastern part of the island of Cyprus in antiquity, over a period of about 2000 years (from the thirteenth century. BC. until the Vlllth AC.). Through this conference, the archaeologist Sabine Fourrier will seek to present the results of recent excavations on the site of Kition.
