Students of the French-Cypriot School compete in the European Central Bank contest finale (Frankfurt, 12-13 April 2016). [el] [fr]

The "Pame Cyprus" team, composed of students from the French Cypriot School in Nicosia, have been chosen among the six finalists of the Generation €uro Students’ Award 2015-2016 contest, organized by the European Central Bank (ECB) for International and European schools as well as national schools abroad. They were selected from more than 150 participating teams.

The "Pame Cyprus" EFCN team therefore will attend the final contest in which they will make a presentation to a panel of experts from the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt am Main on 12 and 13 April, 2016. The team will present their analysis of the pending decision of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank regarding interest rates and the main refinancing operations, trying to put themselves in Mario Draghi’s shoes.

The Generation €uro Students’ Award contest is an annual competition that aims to help high school students understand the monetary policy and its role in the economy in general. The competition organized by the ECB consists of three different rounds: an online quiz, a written analysis and a presentation.
